50 black and white vintage photographs by Toni Harting at Alliance Française June 5 to July 31
For his first major exhibition, Toronto photographer Toni Harting is proud to present, from 5th of June to 31st of July 2008, at the gallery of Alliance française, 50 photos taken in Provence during the 1950s and early ‘60s. Reminiscent of the frozen moments by Doisneau and Cartier-Bresson, Toni Harting’s enchanting b&w prints place the viewer in a time capsule to revisit the past. The 50 vintage prints, most of them never shown, are organized by themes such as: women, children, beach, bars, groups, lovers, pétanque, corrida.
