Philippe Chancel at CONTACT Festival - April 28 to June 3 [fr]

The Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, one of Canada’s premier cultural events, will showcase Canadian and international artists and photographers exhibiting at almost 200 venues throughout Toronto. From April 26 to June 6, an extensive range of exhibitions, public installations, films, lectures and workshops will be presented to more than one million people.

Now in its 16th year, Scotiabank CONTACT continues to expand programming through exhibitions of groundbreaking photography. The festival includes 6 Primary Exhibitions, 11 Public Installations and 34 Featured Exhibitions, with more than 1,000 artists exhibiting their work at 134 Open Exhibitions across the city.

As part of the festival, the Consulate General of France in Toronto invited the photographer Philippe Chancel. His photographs from the “Arirang” series will be exhibited from April 28th to June 3rd at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA) as part of the festival’s primary exhibition « Public : Collective Identity I Occupied Spaces ».
