Cinéfranco Festival – April 5-14 [fr]

For its16th edition, the Cinéfranco festival takes place from April 5 to 14 at the movie theatre the Royal. Don’t miss this essential celebration of French speaking cinema in Toronto that offers a bunch of films, often played for the first time in Canada.

For 15 years, the Cinéfranco festival highlights, in the heart of English speaking Canada, the diversity and the richness of the French speaking cinema. This year, 25 full length films, 6 short films and one documentary came from Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Luxembourg, Morocco, and Switzerland have been selected. Played in original version, with English subtitles, English speakers can also have an access.

For this edition, the Festival offers a large selection of French movies. This year’s programation includes Pierre Jolivet’s thriller Armed Hands, Noemie Lvovsky’s comedy Camille Rewinds and the winner of the Cesar award for best documentary Les Invisibles by Sebastien Lifshitz (with special attendance of Monique Isselé, one of the witnesses of the film).
