Oscars 2015: Cotillard and Desplat get nominations [fr]

The Oscar nominations were announced on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.

Marion Cotillard is a Best Actress Oscar nominee for her role in Two Days, One Night by the Dardenne Brother. This is the second Academy Award nomination for Marion Cotillard, who won an Oscar for Actress in a Leading Role in 2007 for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose. For the second time in her career, she will attend the prestigious ceremony to take place in Los Angeles on February 22.

She will be accompanied by Composer Alexandre Desplat, who got double Oscar nominations for Best Original Score for The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Imitation Game. The double mention marks Oscar nominations seven and eight for Desplat, who has yet to win Hollywood’s greatest honor. Alexandre Desplat is one of the greatest composer: he is known for composing the scores of Argo, Harry Potter, Largo Winch, The King’s Speech.
