The Researchers’ Night at McMaster University [fr]

The Researchers’ Night is taking place on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at McMaster University (Hamilton) is a rare and free encounter between the general public and McMaster University‘s researchers and artists. This year’s theme is "Enlightened - Light in all its forms", to celebrate the International Year of Light.

Within the heart of McMaster Innovation Park, the public will explore the question of ’Light’ by experiencing unique workshops in a beautiful and innovative setting: NO ’conference-like’ presentations but rather a friendly and open gathering format to stimulate open discussions.

Scientists and artists from McMaster, as well as from partnering French university, will discuss their research and art projects with the public, taking us on a ride describing the intellectual journeys that led them to the creation of their works. This year, the French astrophysicist Dr Cécile Renault is invited to present her work.

This project is a new and exciting partnership with the French Consulate, and will facilitate and encourage exchanges of all kinds between Canadian and French researchers and artists. Also, some of our presenters are ’bilingues’ so feel free to jump in and utilisez votre français to ask a few questions or discuss for hours!

An unforgettable experience for all!
