The Consul General Visits Winnipeg [fr]
Marc Trouyet was in Winnipeg on February 22-24 to attend meetings and events
During his visit, the Consul General notably met the Hon. Rochelle Squires, Minister of Sport, Culture and Heritage and Minister responsible for Francophone Affairs and Status of Women in the provincial Government of Manitoba. Together they discussed issues related to francophonie in Manitoba, celebrations organized to commemorate the centenary of the battle of Vimy Ridge, and the mutual recognition of degrees between Manitoba and France.
He also met M. Michael Richards, secrétaire adjoint du Cabinet et Sous-ministre des Affaires intergouvernementales ; Mme Nicole Young, Directrice des services en français de la ville de Winnipeg ; et Mme Jacqueline Blay, Présidente de la Société franco-manitobaine ; and visited Winnipeg’s Canadian Museum for Human Rights as well as the Composites Innovation Centre Manitoba Inc. (CIC).
