The Consulate will participate in Toronto’s Pride Parade on June 25th 2017 [fr]
French citizens are invited to join our European delegation which will gather five countries
Combating human rights violations on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity is a key concern for France’s foreign policy on human rights. The Consulate general of France in Toronto is proud to announce its participation in the 2017 edition of Toronto’s Pride Parade, which will take place on Saturday, June 25th. This contribution underlines our ambition to promote the universal decriminalisation of homosexuality and to combat the stigmatisation and serious human rights violations that LGBT people are subjected to all over the world.
We will be joined by four more European Union Member States who also expressed the wish to defend these values of tolerance and solidarity: Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
An open invitation and more details will soon be shared to all the French citizens willing to join us in this march.
