Combating human rights violations on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity is a key concern for France’s foreign policy on human rights. The Consulate general of France in Toronto was proud to participate in the 2017 edition of Toronto’s Pride Parade, which took place on Sunday, June 25th. This contribution underlines our ambition to promote the universal decriminalisation of homosexuality and to combat the stigmatisation and serious human rights violations that LGBT people are subjected to all over the world.
We were joined by five more European Union Consulates who also expressed the wish to defend values of tolerance and solidarity: Germany, Denmark, Finland the Netherlands, and Sweden.
