Long Stay Visitors Visa [fr]

The long stay visa or type D allows you to stay in France for more than 3 months.

- Passport valid at least three months after the expiry date of the visa. + photocopy of PAGES WITH PICTURE, EXPIRY DATE OF PASSPORT, VISAS ISSUED, ALL STAMPS

Your passport must have been issued less than 10 years ago (first issuance). Even if it has been renewed since then by your country, we will decline your passport for a visa application and you will have to renew it prior to applying.

* Refugees: persons residing in Canada with refugee status, even if they hold permanent resident cards, must have in their possession a travel document for refugees, 1951 Geneva Convention Model.

- 1 Long Stay application form duly filled out and signed + 2 recent and identical photos ID, format 35mm X 45mm only, with a clear and plain background. Pictures with hat, caps, sunglasses, etc.. will not be accepted (NO CUT OUT OF OR CANADIAN PASSPORT SIZE PICTURE).

- 1 OFII form

- Any document supporting your status in Canada and allowing your re-entry: Canadian Long Form birth certificate, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card (to be photocopied both sides), valid Canadian visa… + 1 photocopy

- Proof of means of income for the entire length of your stay in France : last 3 months bank statement showing your name and balance, last Notice of Assessment (NOA)… + 1 photocopy

- Letter under oath stating not to engage in any work + 1 photocopy

- Documents supporting your socio-professional status in Canada: recent letter of the employer (with position, record of employment, salary, vacation), last 3 pay stubs, Business Registration if you are self employed… + 1 photocopy

- RCMP Police clearance + 1 photocopy

- Proof of residency in France such as a lease, a title of property, etc + 1 photocopy. In the case you are hosted, provide a letter from the host as well as a photocopy of their Carte Nationale d’Identité (French ID card) and their last EDF bill (Electricity bill).

- Proof of enrolment at a French school for children aged 6 to 16.

If the visa is granted:

- Travel Medical Insurance valid for the entire length of your stay in all the Schengen zone and covering all medical expenses such as medicine, hospitalization, repatriation with a minimum coverage of 50,000 CAD + 1 photocopy

- 1 Xpresspost envelope
