Visas: Appointment Booking procedure [fr]
The visa section of the Consulate General of France in Toronto can issue visas for applicants residing in Ontario and Manitoba.
The visa section sees applicants by appointment only, Monday to Friday from 9AM to 12:30PM.
Appointments can only be booked online on the website on the Consulate. No appointment is booked in person or by phone.
Appointments are on an individual basis. Members of the same family have to book separate appointments.
The appointment system shows the earliest available date. If you cannot find an earlier date, it means other applicants have booked all the slots up to the proposed date. If an applicant cancels their application, then their slot becomes available. It is then possible that the proposed date changes to the slot freed up by the cancellation.
APPOINTMENT BOOKING PROCEDURE
The day of the appointment, only applicants are admitted inside the visa section. Minors must be accompanied by one of their parents. For security reasons, any person accompanying the applicant must wait at the lobby of the building. An applicant showing up late can be denied access to the visa section and therefore will have to book a new appointment.
Processing times are given for information only and do not engage the visa section.
Before booking your appointment, read section 2 of the main visa page
Do not forget to put a telephone number and/or an email address
Take note of your identification number when booking the appointment. This number will be asked for any change of appointment or for printing the appointment confirmation page.
An appointment booking that has not been cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date or multiple successive bookings will lead to the cancellation of any further bookings.
Applicants are advised to book their appointment as early as possible. No file can be sent more than 90 days before the expected date of arrival in France. You can check the appointment website to see if you can take advantage of a possible cancellation from another applicant.
