French President Emmanuel Macron in Canada [fr]

The President of the French Republic will be in Canada from June 6 to June 9 2018 for a working visit and to participate to the G7 summit.

As part of his working visit on June 6 and 7, President Macron will meet Prime Minister Trudeau and Québec Prime Minister Philippe Couillard. He will also go to Montréal to visit the first French community outside of Europe.

The talks will focus on the best ways to strengthen multilateralism and the opportunities offered by the Canada EU Trade Agreement (CETA). This visit will also be the occasion to discuss collaboration opportunities for gender equality, the fight against climate change and keeping peace and safety around the world.

The President will then go to the G7 Summit that will take place at Malbaie, Québec, on June 8 and 9 2018.
